Manage ballot data
Add and approve positions, candidates, voters, groups, and sponsors.
Each data type has its own tab in the event dashboard. Your event may use different labels if you set aliases.
Make your changes before voting starts. After that, Pepvote blocks edits that could affect ballot integrity.
Positions
A position is one thing voters decide. Select Add, enter a title, and choose a voting method and its rules (for example how many candidates a voter may pick). Add positions before candidates, because every candidate needs one.
Candidates
Select Add, enter a name and optional email, and pick at least one position. Set the approval status. Only approved candidates appear on the ballot. You can upload a photo from the candidate row, and on Starter or Custom plans, email the candidate an invite or a photo request.
Voters (elections only)
Select Add and enter a name. Add an email if voters will get their voter key by email, and a Voter ID if the event requires one. Set the approval status. Only approved voters can vote. Use the search, group filter, and bulk approve to work through a long list.
Weighted voting on? Give each voter a weight greater than zero. See Weighted voting.
Groups
Groups only appear when Group Mode is on. Create a group, say what it is for (positions, candidates, voters, or any), then assign records to it.
Sponsors (polls only)
Add a name, optional contact email, blurb, and pin order. Upload a logo from the row. You can email the sponsor an invite that gives them read-only access to results.
Adding many at once
Import a spreadsheet instead. See Import and export data.
