Fix voter access problems
You have a voting link but cannot open the ballot or submit your vote.
This page is for voters. If you run the event, jump to For organizers.
The link says the event is invalid
Open the full link the organizer sent, not a copied piece of it. If it still fails, ask the organizer for a fresh link from Share Links.
The event has not started or has ended
Only the organizer can change the schedule. Check the start time with them and try again after it. Votes cannot be cast after the end time.
No voter key email (elections)
- Check spam, junk, and promotions.
- Make sure you entered the email or Voter ID you are registered under for this event. Not sure which? Ask the organizer.
- Wait a minute and request once more. Use the newest email.
- Still nothing? Ask the organizer to check your voter record.
Polls do not use voter keys. If a poll asks for one, you have the wrong link.
"You are not eligible" (elections)
Ask the organizer to check that you are on the voter list for this event, approved, and have not already voted. Never use someone else's key.
The ballot will not submit
Every position shows its rules: how many to pick, the score range, the points budget, or how many to rank. Fix the highlighted ones and submit once. If the location check expired, run it again.
For organizers
Check in this order: the event is Ongoing, the voter is in this event and approved, the voter has not voted, the email or Voter ID on the record matches what they type, and Send Emails To is empty. See Voter keys and voting emails.
