What is Pepvote?
What Pepvote does and the words you will see in the dashboard.
Pepvote runs online elections and polls. You build a ballot, decide who can vote, share a link, and watch the results come in.
Two kinds of event
- Election. You know who the voters are. You add or approve them, and each one gets a voter key to vote once.
- Poll. Anyone with the link can vote. Good for awards, nominations, and public votes.
Every event has a short code. It appears in every public link for that event.
Words you will see
| Term | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Position | One thing voters decide, such as an office, award, or question. |
| Candidate | A person or option voters can pick for a position. |
| Voter | Someone who can cast a ballot. In an election, voters must be approved first. |
| Sponsor | A brand or partner shown on a poll. |
| Group | An optional label for organizing positions, candidates, or voters, such as a department or ward. |
| Official | A Manager, Polling Officer, or Observer you invite to help run the event. |
Your organization uses different words? Rename them in Update Aliases.
